Lace It Up (Part 1: Process)

If $2000 was like spending $200; I would buy Valentino shoes, but since that's out of the question, I'll just replicate it myself.

I'm into girly things like this. I know it's not something you can wear everyday, but I can appreciate it for what it is and wouldn’t mind having them around. Bust it out every decade or so, then pass it to my future daughter haha. It's very hard to imitate a designer and expect an exact duplicate (unless you have the magic touch). However, I like it when it comes out different than the original. You don’t want it to be so obvious that you knocked it off. You have to be subtle! :))

Lace bought from C&J.

Heels bought from Aldo.

Extreme Volume

A bold silhouette top is not easy to wear. You need the right components to complete the look so you don't look overdone. Since the top I made has a lot going on, it was a little tricky to figure out what to wear on the bottom.  Recently, when I went to Anthropolgie, I found a cute pencil skirt that would be the perfect compliment to the top.

The base of the top is 4 ply silk and the ruffles are made out silk organza.

Made by me! :))

Buttons are from Tender Buttons. The best button store in NYC.
