Walk & Shine

Yay! I'm finally done sewing my "precious jewels" on my stockings. I can't help but feel proud of myself. I deserve a pat on my back...thank you, thank you....please stop....

As I was sewing, I wanted to be spontaneous and just follow where my hand and mind took me. I am very happy with the execution. I love the colors, the unbalanced composition, and how it looks like Poison Ivy.

It was fun trying to work my outfit around my stockings. Since my stockings and shoes make a strong statement I decided on my mom's hand-knit sweater she did when she was in high school. It's simple, compliments my stockings and most of all.....it's nice!

thank you, come again

some read, most sleep, i sew on the plane

Whenever I am on the plane, I always try to find something to keep me entertained. It's definitely not reading... that would be like my sleeping pill. Usually on the plane I'm super focused, so I opted to go for something tedious...like, sew "precious jewels" on my stockings. Work in progress...

Slowly but surely. Not even half way done.

There's Something About Shredding

Few years ago, I learned how to manipulate a basic t-shirt. In preparation for Cabos, I went to American Apparel and bought a basic t-shirt. I came home, cut the sleeves off and started to shred. I love how it's so delicate and oversized. Perfect way to jazz it up while hanging out on the beach.

Contestant #1

At first, when I made this dress, I laughed because it reminded me of a dress a contestant would wear on Dancing w. the Stars. However, the more I looked at it, it slowly started to grow on me.
I just needed the perfect place to wear my dress....
